 A: Access Africa is a payment platform that allows individuals to send and receive money across all Access Bank subsidiaries. It supports Person-to-Person (P2P), Business-to-Business (B2B), Person-to-Business (P2B), and other payment transactions.

Q: What are the benefits of using Access Africa?

A: Transfers are instant, fast, and secure.     

What are the transfer charges?

A: 2.5% of the principal

Q: What are the active AccessAfrica corridors?

A: Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Zambia, DR Congo, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Botswana, Mozambique, and Kenya.

Q: What documents are required to send money in-branch?
 A:
  A duly completed Access Africa send form, and a valid ID (passport for foreigners or resident permit)

Q: What documents are required to receive funds?
 A: 
A duly completed Access Africa receive form, valid ID, secret code, and test question/answer. If the sender provided account details, funds are deposited directly into the account.

Q: What are the channels to receive funds?
 A:

  • Cash pickup: Instantly, once the receiver presents the secret code, ID, and completed receive form at the bank.
  • Account credit: Instantly upon successful transaction. Account are only Access Bank Account
  • Wallets in Ghana and Rwanda

Q: Do I need an Access Bank account to use AccessAfrica?
 A: 
No, both account holders and non-account holders can use the service.

Q: What are the transaction limits?
A:

  • CEMAC transfers: No limit
  • International transfers: Maximum of 1,000,000 XAF per month/ per sender and beneficiary

Q: What if I want to transfer more than 1,000,000 XAF internationally?
 A:
Bring documents that justify the transfer (e.g. trade invoice, school fees, or medical bills).

Q: What is the exchange rate for AccessAfrica transfers?
A: The applicable rate is updated daily and communicated by Access Bank for Nigeria only.
